It’s weird to eat healthy!

More than a few times I’ve had clients ask me “when can I eat normal again?”

They love the way the foods they are eating make them feel, and they see the difference it quickly made in the way they look.  They don’t even mind eating healthy, whole foods when they are home, for the most part.

But when they are out with friends and family, they don’t want to stand out, making strange requests and opting out on the main dish when it doesn’t fit their eating program.

So, I challenge them with this question, and I pose the same to you:

What is “normal”?
How do people “normally” people eat?

“Normal” is the usual, average, or typical state or condition.

It’s normal to eat packaged foods, lots of starchy foods, and a pretty large amount of sugar.

And the results are normal too. It’s normal for people over the age of 40 to be on at least a couple of prescribed medications. It’s normal to complain about headaches, joint aches, back pain, insomnia.

This is all very normal.

So, be proud when you stand out! When you are the only one who says “no thanks” to the birthday cake at the party, or the sandwiches at the lunch meeting. Maybe you’ll inspire someone else to join you, someone who was feeling pressured to conform.

Be weird!!
